This year the Petty Bobcat Boosters are giving Petty families a reading challenge!
Help us raise funds for what we hope to be the biggest fundraiser of the year…
Petty Bobcat Boosters Read-A-Thon
Students can raise money by asking family and friends to sponsor them in our Read-A-Thon. Sponsors can pledge a donation per minute of reading, or a fixed contribution.
100% of money donated during the Read-a-thon fundraiser will go directly towards creating an outdoor learning space for our Petty students and staff!
How it Works:
Each student will receive a bookmark per week where they will record their minutes for that week. The week will run from Friday through Thursday.
The students read, read, read all week, record their minutes, and turn their bookmarks in each FRIDAY morning to their classroom bin.
Minutes you can count: Reading for fun, reading for homework, being read to, listening to an audiobook, reading to a pet,....if you are reading, it counts!
Students will be rewarded with a bracelet as they reach their next goal.
Bracelet goals are between 100 and 5000 minutes. Students can wear their bracelets throughout the Read-a-Thon. They can show off their swag for reading so much!

Your student’s name, grade, and teacher must be included on all donations to be counted towards their totals. When donating online, make sure you credit the correct team- Your student’s teacher. If you have more than one child, you will have to make separate donations for each child so they can be credited to the correct team/student.
